The Sarah L. Gamble Foundation is an organization that provides financial and spiritual resources to individuals who are in need and see themselves not based upon their current situation, but where they are going. The Sarah L. Gamble Foundation provides scholarships to high school students entering their first year of college, and in the future, housing and other resources will be available…stay tuned! Not only does the foundation currently seek to assist with financial and housing needs, but prayer and support.

Sarah Louise Gamble was born in Talbot County, Georgia in 1927 to Willie Henry and Carrie L. Gamble. Sarah migrated to Providence, RI in her twenties where she worked as a domestic housekeeper. She became a mother to eight beautiful children. Sarah L. Gamble was a single parent who worked hard and wanted the best for her children. She could not afford to buy their clothes and being gifted as a seamstress she made their clothes. She rose early each day to take care of her children before she went off to work. She loved helping those in need by giving and sharing.
